It seems like you can drop the bracelet thing before giving it to the lumberjack, causing a softlock...

Not a softlock, but it may be unintuitive to switch when the characters are close together...
One thing I did find was that if moving at the same time as retrieving an item, the character will keep on going even without input.

We have not even once experienced this issue during our tests but would like to hear more in detail.
The characters can give the item to eachother. However if we allow players to switch directly from one character to another. The ghost is only seen in the start and in the end. Because of that we clamped the mexhanic a little bit.
And the character moves when on area is a bug we intended to solve but couldn't in 48 hours. Will add that to the game info once the rating finishes.
hi this is very beautiful but i am unfortunately kind of stuck and don't know how to progress! it looks like i got something but idk how to give it to the npc.
Hi the main controls are F to give the NPC the item and hold down E for start controlling or getting out of the body. If you can tell us where you stuck with detail we would like to help!
